stops the neighbours bright blue, flashing, crimbo lights interrupting my beauty sleep. Not as good as double lined curtains I have in lounge but more than good enough to do required job. I was surprised how thin and light these curtains where when they arrived, but I put my doubts to one side and hung them up and was pleasantly surprised. They block 95% of light from the room, the red colour looks fantastic. With them being thin I don't know how long they'll last. But for the cost I'd say it's a good product
