stops the neighbours bright blue, flashing, crimbo lights interrupting my beauty sleep. Not as good as double lined curtains I have in lounge but more than good enough to do required job. Chose dark colour as advised for maximum light blocking. Amazon's quick delivery truly appreciated. Great value and sure have helped keep room a degree or two warmer as well. So double benefit. I was surprised how thin and light these curtains where when they arrived, but I put my doubts to one side and hung them up and was pleasantly surprised. They block 95% of light from the room, the red colour looks fantastic. With them being thin I don't know how long they'll last. But for the cost I'd say it's a good product
